15M44Net Project

An isolated gateway into AMPRNet

This station runs a dedicated 44Net (AMPRNet) gateway on its own hardware, physically and logically separate from the home network. A routed IPv4 block is reached over an encrypted WireGuard tunnel, with a hard air gap enforced at the switch level — no cable, and no route, connects the 44Net side to anything else in the house.

The project covers everything from the tunnel and firewall configuration to the physical cabling that keeps the two networks from ever touching.

  • WireGuard tunnel into a routed /29 AMPRNet block
  • Dedicated dual-NIC gateway, no SSH — local console only
  • Physically air-gapped switch for the 44Net side
  • Zero shared hardware or routes with the home LAN
